Introducing the all-new SM3 Youth Helmet, meticulously designed for young riders engaged in motocross, enduro, and off-road adventures. This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell crafted from a specialized polymer blend, offering an optimal balance of impact protection and reduced weight. Available in three sizes—Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large—the SM3 Youth weighs just 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT), ensuring comfort without compromising safety.
The helmet's fit can be customized to suit the rider's head shape, thanks to interchangeable crown and cheek pads available in various thicknesses. Notably, the Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, allowing for easy adjustments as the rider grows. The Youth Small is specifically tailored for younger children, typically aged 3 to 4 years, ensuring a snug and secure fit.
Equipped with a multi-density inner liner, the SM3 Youth Helmet enhances impact absorption while minimizing overall weight. Its innovative design includes features to mitigate the effects of oblique impacts, such as a patented low friction coating on the EPS liner that mimics the brain's natural protective mechanisms. The helmet also boasts a patented visor release system, which reduces neck forces during impacts.
Safety is paramount, and Alpinestars has implemented an in-house standard that exceeds typical homologation requirements, optimizing the chin area for superior impact performance.
