Introducing a cutting-edge plug-in upgrade for the electronic advance ignition system found on late model Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This advanced ignition module is micro-computer controlled, providing riders with precise management of the ignition process. Tailor the advance curve and rev limiter to meet the specific demands of your engine, whether it’s stock or highly modified. With four built-in advance curves and independent rev limiter settings ranging from 6000 to 7500 RPM, you can customize your ride for optimal performance under various operating conditions.
The PC programmability feature allows you to define both wide-open and part-throttle curves, set rev limits, adjust dead-cranking revs, and manage rear cylinder offset. Additionally, a separate tach output wire ensures clean tachometer operation during rev limiting and in single-fire mode. For ease of troubleshooting and static timing, a diagnostic LED indicator is conveniently located on the back of the control module.
This ignition system is designed for versatility, featuring a 7-pin connector that can be used with either a single ignition coil firing both cylinders (dual fire) or two ignition coils, one for each cylinder (single-fire). Please note that this product is made in the U.S.A. and is not compatible with fuel-injected models or Dyna "S" systems; it is recommended to use HD1/HD2 systems only.
For optimal performance, it is crucial to use carbon fiber-type suppression spark plug wires to minimize radio frequency interference, as copper wires may lead to ignition malfunctions due to electrical noise.
