Upgrade your Harley's ignition system with this advanced plug-in electronic ignition, designed specifically for late model bikes. This micro-computer controlled unit offers unparalleled precision in managing the ignition process, allowing riders to customize the advance curve and rev limiter to suit their engine's unique requirements. With four built-in advance curves, it caters to everything from stock setups to highly modified engines, ensuring optimal performance across various operating conditions.
The ignition features four independent rev limiter settings ranging from 6000 to 7500 RPM, enabling you to set the exact protection level needed for your ride. Its PC programmability allows for detailed adjustments, including wide-open and part-throttle curves, rev limits, dead-cranking revs, and rear cylinder offset. Additionally, a separate tach output wire ensures clean tachometer operation during rev limiting and in single-fire mode.
For ease of troubleshooting, a diagnostic LED indicator is included on the back of the control module, making static timing adjustments straightforward. This product is proudly made in the U.S.A.
Please note that for optimal performance, it is essential to use carbon fiber-type suppression spark plug wires to minimize radio frequency interference, as copper wires may lead to ignition malfunctions due to electrical noise. The original wires supplied by Harley-Davidson are typically suitable. This ignition is not compatible with fuel-injected models or Dyna "S" systems; it is designed for use with dual-fire ignitions only and plugs directly into your 7-pin stock harness, mounting seamlessly in the original ignition area.
